Lyophilisation
Lyophilisation is a low-temperature dehydration process for preserving sensitive materials. During freeze-drying, or cryodesiccation, a sample is freeze-dried, the pressure is lowered, and ice is removed by sublimation. This creates an exceptional quality product that maintains its shape.
This crucial process is used in research and development by scientists working in various fields, including the pharmaceutical, biochemical, biological and food industries.

Technical details
We use LyoBeta Mini and a Telstar freeze dryer to perform a range of lyophilisation processes. This freeze-drying unit is designed to provide the entire freeze-drying process fully automatically and with accurate monitoring. There is a wide range of substances that can be freeze-dried. These include, but are not limited to:
- Antibiotics

- Blood plasma
- Antibodies
Our system can support a shelf temperature range from -55 to +70°C, and the condenser can reach -85°C. There are temperature sensors inside the lyophiliser to monitor product temperature throughout the process.
